In CoreTrader, click the "Free Media" tab and then fill out the free registration. REMEMBER THE GENERIC PASSWORD! This will allow you to hear the excellent weekly market recap which seems to be done on Saturday night. The guy seems to use the logic that Trading Academy uses.
This site is nothing short of phenominal! It has volatility charts for individual securities, option risk charts according to the type of option strategy, and great description of each type of option strategy with suggestions.
It also has the SP 500 heat map.

Scroll down to the point and figure chart. If there is a 3 square reversal, the market reversal is almost always very significant!

Take the list and type it into a finviz scan list and you can do a bunch of research in a very short time. Finviz brings up nice charts and all the financials on one easy sheet.
I cannot believe they are offering all this good stuff for free. They basically have a trading university right here!! Requires free registration. Why all this free stuff? To show that they are a top notch, up front training company. I am a graduate and consider the education to be worth every penny I spent.
Getting a view of what is going on around the world. Many times, the Asian markets predict the open of the U.S. Markets. Europe not so much unless things are really bad.
For me, this is a Monday thing. The markets generally react to everything that is due in the coming week so it is a good idea to write the important events down and ponder them all week. The anticipation of the unemployment report which doean't come out each week can set the tone for the week. Is Bernanke set to speak?
I guess we are supposed to look at this for some reason or other about being down when the market is up or something. Tony, perhaps you can shed some light on this. Someone said something about watching TLT, whatever that is.

This will get you to stockcharts.com. One good market signal appears to be if GS and IBM are going in the same direction. Check both charts by creating sharp charts.
